Earlier this summer, I purchased a Lensbaby 2.0. (They’ve updated their product line since then and made it better. Guess I should have waited a few months.) A Lensbaby is a flexible lens that allows you to customize the area of the photography that is in focus and soften the rest. You get an area of sharp focus with a gradual blur surrounding it. I haven’t used it a lot because it is one of those specialty lenses that produces a unique effect. If used too often, it no longer is unique and just becomes ordinary. It is also actually pretty difficult to get a good shot with it because you have to bend, push, pull and then hold the lens in the correct position to get your subject in focus. Below are a few shots I like from this summer.
